The following is a list of FAQ's regarding Allergies and dietary restrictions on Chang Chang’s Menu.

  • Items that contain shellfish include the Scallop Toast, Chili Wontons, Scallop XO, Clam Noodles, Crab Fried Rice, Seafood Curry, & Snow Pea Shoots.

    None of these dishes can be modified to omit shellfish.

    Guests with severe allergies are encouraged to also consult the Cross Contamination section.

  • Items that contain dairy include the Three Cup Mushrooms, Clam Noodles & Cumin Lamb.

    The Three Cup Mushrooms & Clam Noodles can be made dairy-free by omitting the breadcrumbs.

  • Items that contain Egg include the Chili Wontons, Three Cup Mushroom, Crab Fried Rice, Seafood Curry, Lion Head Noodles & Snow Pea Shoots.

    None of these dishes can be modified to omit Egg.

  • Chang Chang does not use any Nut Oils for cooking in the kitchen.

    Dishes that contain nuts include the Tofu Miso Salad (cashew), Chili Wontons (chestnut), Scallop XO (pine nuts), Kung Pao Beef (cashew), &Walnut Prawns (walnuts).

    The nuts can be removed from the Tofu Miso Salad and the Kung Pao Beef.

    Guests with severe allergies are encouraged to also consult the Cross Contamination section.

  • Dishes that contain sesame seeds include the Black & White Cauliflower, Scallop Toast, Hot & Sour Tartare, Sweet & Sour Ribs, & Walnut Prawns,

    Dishes that contain sesame oil include Spring Rolls, Chili Wontons, Three Cup Mushrooms, Cumin Lamb, Buddha Delight Noodles, Sesame Eel, & Bean Curd Salad.

    None of these dishes can be modified to omit Sesame Oil or Seeds.

  • Soy sauce is used prolifically in the menu and cannot be omitted from dishes that contain it.

    The only dishes that do not use Soy Sauce are the Dry Fry Vegetables, Whole Fish (which does still have soy tofu), & the Seafood Curry.

  • Items that contain mushroom pieces include Dry Fry Vegetables, Spring Rolls, Turnip Cake, Hot & Sour Tartare, Three Cup Mushroom, Tofu Money Pockets, Buddha Delight Noodles, & the Duck 4 Ways.

    None of these dishes can be modified to remove Mushroom pieces.

  • Very few dishes at Chang Chang can omit Allium.

    The only dishes that are Allium-free are the Sesame Eel and Lotus Root.

  • Dishes that include Nightshades are the Charred Eggplant (peppers), Black & White Cauliflower, Cumin Lamb (peppers), & Kung Pao Beef (peppers).

    None of these items can be modified to omit Nightshade.

  • Items that contain Wheat (gluten) include the Dry Fry Vegetables, Spring Rolls, Scallop Toast, Chili Wontons, Three Cup Mushrooms, Clam Noodles, Buddha Delight Noodles, Duck 4 Ways (Pie), Sweet & Sour Ribs, Lion Head Noodles, & Hainanese Chicken.

    None of these dishes can be modified to omit Wheat.

  • Guests who have Celiac Disease should consult the Wheat section, as well as the Soy Sauce section to determine what they can enjoy at Chang Chang.

    Guests with severe allergies are encouraged to also consult the Cross Contamination section.

  • The fry oil at Chang Chang cooks many different items including wheat, shellfish, allium, nut, and mushroom.

    We recommend avoiding fried items if you have a heightened allergy to these ingredients.

    These items include the Dry Fry Vegetables, Spring Rolls, Scallop Toast, Walnut Prawns, & Sesame Eel.
